The Vision Zero Webb Laredo Safety Action Plan is a community plan drawing from perspectives and people’s experiences throughout the entire city and county.

Vision Zero Working Group (VZWG)

The group is charged with providing guidance and expertise in the development and implementation of the Vision Zero Webb Laredo Safety Action Plan that will provide specific actions and milestones to achieve zero fatalities and severe injuries on local roadways. They will ensure that actions proposed through the Vision Zero Webb Laredo Safety Action Plan (Plan) are grounded in local operational needs and are realistically implementable by the respective departments and authorities committed to achieving the Vision Zero goal.

Safe Transportation Advisory Council (STAC)

The council group is established to ensure the active involvement of community advocates and stakeholders representing various aspects of road safety including cycling, pedestrian safety, safe routes to schools, and general traffic safety and awareness. The STAC is meant to bring together diverse perspectives, align community needs, and prioritize investment in new, safer infrastructure for the traveling public within the City of Laredo and Webb County. Members of the STAC will offer guidance to inform development of a safety action plan for Vision Zero Webb Laredo that will provide specific actions and milestones to achieve zero fatalities and severe injuries on local roadways.
